Breathing Disorders

Dizziness, breathing problems and anxiety often go hand-in-hand. In my clinic I see many people who are dizzy and anxious because they have a breathing pattern disorder rather than an inner ear problem. Or they have an inner ear problem and have developed a breathing pattern disorder because of anxiety and dizziness. Hyperventilation is an example of a breathing pattern disorder.

I am a registered BradCliff Method practioner having completed level 1 training in June 2017. I use this method to educate people about their breathing, to retrain their breathing patterns and to teach them simple relaxation techniques. You can Google the BradCliff website to find out more about this method.

I often find using breathing retraining alongside vestibular rehabilitation is very effective for people who are dizzy and who have high levels of anxiety.
